A.) No. Tarrant Home Warranty Service will cover pre-existing conditions on systems and/or appliances as long as 30 days have passed since the initial Contract Effective Date.

.) Which Texas communities do you cover?

A.) We cover the entire State of Texas.

.) My home is not in Texas. Do you still offer home warranty services?

A.)At this time, we only service the state of Texas.

.) Are older appliances that come with the home covered?

A.)Yes, appliances installed and located within the confines of the home’s foundation or garage, that are operable at the time of contract and less than 5 years old, may be covered depending on your plan, and any limitations and exclusions within.

.) When does my coverage begin and end?

A.)Your coverage begins at time of purchase and continues for 12 months following that date.

.) Do I have to pay a service call fee?

A.)Yes. There is a $100 service charge per covered item unless otherwise specified in your Tarrant Home Warranty Service Contract.

.) How do I know if an item is covered?

A.)Depending on which plan you choose–Base Plan or Preferred Plan– the contract lists out specific which appliances and home systems (including parts, components, fixtures, wiring, and connections) are covered. See the full list here.

.) My claim is processed. When can I expect repairs?

A.)Under normal circumstances, Tarrant Home Warranty Service will begin repairs or replacement of covered items within 48 hours of your call.

.) If a repair fails, do I have to pay another service call fee?

A.)No. If a repair performed by Tarrant’s experienced technicians fails within 1 year, the return visit to repair or replace the item is free (subject to maximums set out in the policy).

.) Are cosmetic defects covered?

A.)No. Tarrant Home Warranty Service provides superior protection on cosmetic solely on defects that affect the functioning of the covered item

.) What happens if I have a manufacturer’s warranty?

A.)Tarrant Home Warranty Service is not responsible for repairs for items covered under an existing manufacturer’s, distributor’s, or in-home warranty.
